Anna Popham is a second year student at The University of Tampa. In her artistic practice Popham is currently exploring portraiture by capturing the essence of an individual through less frequently used media such as tulle, found objects, and acrylic house paints. Her work focuses on mental health, femininity, and exploring what it means to be human through reconnecting with nature in a digital- oriented world. Popham hopes to continue experimenting as she finalizes her niche, but enjoys dabbling in all her artistic interest. Popham hopes to explore deeper themes through developing a more conversational body of work. Some of Popham’s goals for the future include graduating with a BFA in Visual Art and hopefully continue her pursuit of dedicated art making, one day having a solo show, and teaching art to other students in the future.
