My creative practice is driven by my passion for variety, exploration, experimentation, and spontaneity. Using mostly acrylic paint, spray paint, oil pastel, and unconventional tools, I engage in an experimental painting process, learning how to understand and embrace the nature of uncertainty. My work is shaped by my ability to respond to distinct brushstrokes and forms as they emerge throughout the process of layering, revealing, and concealing different elements. When finished, what emerges from the storm, I like to think, is a composition full of life, and light, capturing a visual depth in-between chaos and calm. Fueled by a passion for travel, I want to explore new places and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My goals for the future include being accepted into a grad program and obtain my MFA. I would love to acquire a diverse set of technical skills through the exploration of various mediums and styles. I plan on doing different residency programs around the world, hoping to meet inspiring individuals and life long friends. I have an ultimate goal of pursuing a career as a university professor, and be able to showcase my work in galleries worldwide.
