Art scholarships provide college students with invaluable opportunities that extend beyond financial assistance. For many aspiring artists, the cost of higher education can be a significant barrier. Art scholarships help alleviate this burden, allowing students to focus on their creative pursuits without the stress of mounting debt. This financial support often enables access to better resources, such as quality art supplies, studio spaces, and advanced technologies that enhance their learning experience. Moreover, earning an art scholarship is a testament to a student’s talent and dedication, boosting their confidence and affirming their potential in a competitive field.
As part of our mission to support art education, Gasparilla Festival of the Arts is again offering five $3,000 GFA Collegiate Scholarships to local undergraduate and graduate students pursuing an education and a career in visual art.
Alyssa Pradera, University of Tampa student and scholarship recipient, praised the scholarship program, calling it a career booster. “I am once again beyond grateful for the opportunity to have been a recipient of this scholarship last year,” she said. “It was truly life changing and propelled me in the direction of art-making/career path I was destined for!”
2025 Applications are now open.
If you’re pursuing an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree with a declared major in fine arts, including studio art in the disciplines we feature at the Festival: ceramics, digital, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, and wood—you qualify for our art scholarship!
