GFA defines an emerging artist as one who makes less than 25% of their income from their art and has not participated in any major exhibitions. There is no age restriction. Each of the fifteen artists will be provided with a booth and a $250 stipend for supplies as well as mentoring from established Tampa Bay artists. The Gasparilla Festival of the Arts takes place in Julian B. Lane Park on March 6 & 5, 2022.
The juror will also choose the winner of the Eileen Hirsch Memorial Emerging Artist Award from among the EA class. The award includes a $1,500 cash prize and will be announced at the festival.
