My aspirations for the future involve showing multiple communities what Art Therapy can really do for them. It’s a relatively new and upcoming career field, but the benefits have been right in front of us. As an artist and a future art therapist, I use my work to decrease the stigma behind mental health and what “good art” looks like. Mental health looks different for everyone, and almost anyone can struggle with it, similarly anyone can make art, and almost everyone can be an artist.

This is to show myself moving towards light even if it feels like there is nothing around me in the dark. The patterns surrounding each piece are there to describe my personal stress level in the period of making them, these were all made in the span of the Fall semester, by far one of my most chaotic ones of my college experience, but in the end, I reached my light.
