To me, being an artist has always meant producing introspective works and using art as an outlet to cope with trauma I endured growing up. I focus on curating works out of unconventional material like wood, cardboard, and clay that break through barriers, unconfined in a typical geometrically shaped frame, integrating Drawing elements and sculptural elements. I make work allowing myself to properly process what I have gone through, channeling my inner turmoil and subconscious insecurities in my work which then others who have gone through similar obstacles as I have, to resonate with my art. I make art because I want others to know that their emotions should not alienate them from connecting with others who share the same experience. As my concepts constantly develop, my goals for the future include making art that brings communities of all kinds together, allowing us to feel comfortable while sharing uncomfortable experiences with one another. I want to further my education at a University, in hopes to also attend graduate school where I can meet like-minded individuals who also share the same aspirations as I do.
