Sandra Naranjo (Matanzas, Cuba, 1988) and Emmanuel Diaz (Matanzas, Cuba, 1986) are Cuban visual artists who have worked as a duo for more than ten years. Both studied the specialty of painting at the Professional School of Arts (Matanzas, Cuba), and Art Restoration at the Higher Institute of Art ISA (Havana, Cuba).
The general theme of their work is the human being: art, sensuality and psychological and spiritual states at individual, social and universal level. Sandra and Emmanuel develop a figurative work with predominance of painting, drawing and installation. A common factor in their work is the visual illusion according to the distance of observation, as a system to deal with different concepts. In addition, their works are made through a unique and innovative technical process, born of experimentation and personalsearch, thus creating a work of a high technical level and conceptual depth.
Currently living in Miami, Fl, where they continue their creative work. You may view more of their work at sandraemmanuelstudio
